Hello, welcome to Lady of the Forest Cattery, we are located in northern Aroostook County, Maine, home of the rare true Foundation Maine Coons and the only breeder of true Maine Snow Coon Cats.

Our Foundation Maine Coons and Snow Coons are bred for the very harsh winters of the coasts and northern parts of Maine. Able to withstand cold temperatures of -30 degrees*, their coats are full and thick, with a unbelievable undercoat that will change with the seasons and/or environment as required. They are excellent hunters, and truly  working cats, but also very affectionate and playful. Maine Coons adapt well to life indoors and enjoy a busy household or farm and get along great with other pets and children, having vast amounts of patience. They are never standoffish or high and mighty, they enjoy interacting with the whole family. 



All of our sires and queens show the quality, coat, character of a true Foundation Maine Coon, the way they evolved naturally centuries ago.  Our cats and their parents originate from a Maine family farm that has been in the family for over 70 years
